Behaviour Intervention
In my journey to become a Music Therapist, I've worked a lot in the day to day lives of children with complex needs. I have worked as a community support worker, respite worker, an Educational Assistant in elementary and high school, and most recently, an Autism Support Worker specializing in complex behaviours.
I pride myself in my ability to connect with every client I meet. I strive to listen, and to learn from each of my clients, so I can fully understand them. I think outside the box, and with my wide scope of experience I am pleased to offer Behaviour Intervention.
Sometimes music isn’t the answer, at least not at first. My focus in BI work is to build a relationship with my client in whatever means I can- play therapy, nature therapy, sensory implementation, and verbal counseling. Through these means and more I believe that connection is the beginning to healing.
